Rock n' Roll Venues

Good friends, blaringinly loud music and a late night out, three things that may just never get old. Here, we put together a list of some of our favorite rock n' roll and punk venues throughout the world. We've done some homework and spent a good many nights sitting at the bar in most of these gems. Some are works of blood and sweat by DIY communities and some are just good places to burn the night away. So, if Iggy and Lemmy are your gods these might just be your temples.

No, I do not think it's cliché to say the Ramones are your favorite band (or at least one of your faves). I think it's honest. Most modern-day rockers can agree, we'd be nowhere today without the Ramones blissfully raucous and sublimely simple songs. The Ramones' infamous 3-chord face-melters paved the way for lots of us, making us believe that we too could start a band. They made music accessible and honest. They gave the kids some power. So it's no wonder that rockers far and wide make a point of visiting the grave site of Johnny Ramone at Hollywood Forever cemetery while in Los Angeles.

This is not really one of them. Nevertheless, it dawned on me after seeing Bobby Liebling rip Pentagram songs this past summer in Cleveland, Ohio that he may be the craziest metal frontman still breathing. Move over Ozzy, Bobby is bringing those crushing 70s riffs and theatrics back to life.

Pushead also know as Brian Schroeder, is a graphic artist, writer, musician (Septic Death) and Pusmort Records label owner. He is best know for his macabre and detailed ink works. His body of work includes designs for such legendary artists as Metallica, The Misfits and Integrity.
