A true, one-of-a-kind powerhouse in the fashion industry, French designer Hedi Slimane, has worked with everyone from YSL to Gucci to Christian Dior. Essentially, Slimane's unique brand of sophisticated styles has shaped all modern menswear and style in general [apparently he is responsible for creating the hairstyle popularized by David Beckham, you know the one you love, the faux hawk].
But since 2007 the artist has been focusing on photography and its that
endeavor that has us buzzing today. Recently the artist photographed
Frances Bean Cobain and the stunning photoset circulated the Internet in
record speed. His photography, while quite stylized, remains crisp and
ambient. He has the uncanny ability to truly capture a moment, a time
in history and fashion, with a very specific nonchalance. His work
continues to move us and he continues to evolve as an artist.
